AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 20 ,
LICENSE AND PERMITS, BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION
20-11 (24 . 1) PROVIDING FOR LICENSE FEES FOR BEACH-
FRONT CONCESSION OPERATIONS : PROVIDING FOR REPEAL
OF CONTRARY ORDINANCES: PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is implementing a
beach concession plan and must provide for occupational license
fees ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 17
That Sections 20-11 of Chapter 20 be amended by the addition of
a new Section 20-11 (24 .1) to read as follows :
Beachfront Concession Operations.
(a) per activity per location $365 . 00
SECTION 2 OTHER ORDINANCES
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 SEVERABILITY
If any article, section, subsection, sentence , clause , phrase , or
portion of this ordinance is , for any reason, held invalid or un-
constitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not effect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance.
SECTION 4 EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after adoption in ac-
cordance with law, on January 15 , 1982 .
