Resolution 1829 1 - RESOLUTION NO. 1829 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, OBJECTING TO THE GRANTING OF A PER- MIT TO MRS. MAE CAPONE TO BUILD A WHARF IN FRONT OF HER PROPERTY, LOT EIGHT (8) PALM ISLAND SUBDIVISION. WHEREAS, one Mae Capone has filed application with the War Department requesting a permit for the construc- tion of a wharf in Biscayne Bay in front of her property, same being Lot 8, Palm Island Subdivision in the City of Miami Beach, and WHEREAS, the War Department has requested said City to make known to it such objections as said City may have to the construction of said wharf, according to the plans submitted, and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council the type of wharf represented by said plans if used generally would seriously interfere with the effective use of a fire boat for combatting fires in the several islands, and WHEREAS, the general use of this type of wharf would greatly reduce anchorage space for yachts and other water craft during the winter season, a constantly increasing amount of space therefor being required eacb, year for this purpose , NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that for the reasons above stated protest is hereby filed with the United States War Department to the granting of a permit to the said Mrs. Mae Capone for the construction of said wharf.
