AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING CITY CODE
SECTION 31A-7 (a) AND REPEALING SECTION 31A-
7 (b) , PROHIBITING THE CITY FROM CONTRACTING
WITH OFF-DUTY CITY EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 DELETION OF SECTION 31A-7 (b)
Section 31A-7 of the Miami Beach City Code is hereby amended as fol-
lows:
"Sec. 31A-7. Conflict of interest.

SECTION 2 OTHER ORDINANCES
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : SEVERABILITY.
If any article, section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or
portion of this Ordinance is, for any reason, held invalid or un-
constitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not effect the validity of the remaining portions
of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4 EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after adoption in ac-
cordance with law, on March 12 , 1983 .
