AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 25,
SECTION 25-98 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, SO AS TO CLEARLY DEFINE THE
ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON A MUNICIPALLY-
OWNED GOLF COURSE; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1:
Section 25-98 of the City Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida
is amended as follows:
"Sec. 25-98 Trespassing on Golf Course, etc.
It shall be unlawful for any person to ge apes

golf, to walk, run, walk carriages, picnic, etc.
on the Municipal Golf Course during regular
operating hours without first obtaining written
permission and/or approval from the City
Manager ' s Office , or for any person to go in or
about any clubhouse operated in connection with
any such golf course, or for any person to use
any golf sticks , golf balls or other equipment
used in connection with any such golf course;
provided that the provisions hereof shall not
apply to any person who is a member of such golf
club operated in connection within the golf
course, to the invited guest of any member of
such golf club or to any person going upon such
golf course or into such clubhouse at the
invitation of the management of such golf course
or clubhouse.
It shall be unlawful for persons to drive autos,
trucks , motorcycles or bicycles on the Municipal
Golf Course at any time, except that emergency
or police vehicles shall be permitted to enter.
SECTION 2: PENALTY.
Non-Compliance with any provision of this Ordinance shall result
in a penalty as described in Section 1-8 of the Code of the City
of Miami Beach.
SECTION 3 : OTHER ORDINANCES .
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: SEVERABILITY.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion
of this Ordinance is, for any reason, held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not effect the validity of the
remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after its adoption,
on May 14 , 1983 .
