AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 44-43
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH SO AS TO
CHANGE THE TIME WHERE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS
OF SECTIONS 44-20 , 44-21, 44-28 , AND 44-29 ACCRUE;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY ; REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 :
That Chapter 44 of the Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida ,
Section 44-43 be and same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Sec. 44-43 . Penalties for violations of sections 44-20 , 44-21 ,
44-28 and 44-29
The following shall constitute the fixed , uniform schedule
of fines to be paid by offenders to the traffic violations bureau
for the violations of sections 44-20, 44-21 , 44-28 and 44-29 :
(a) Overtime parking in a metered zone, if paid within forty-
eight hours of issuance (excluding weekends and national
holidays) $ 6 . 00
(1) If paid within seven thirty days of issuance , but
after forty-eight hours , where-ne-sttmme ts-er-wa -
rant-has-beef-4sstted each ticket 9 . 00
(2) When-Semmens-et-warrane-+s-#sstted;-a€ter After
thirty days or five tickets , whichever comes first ,

SECTION 2 : SEVERABILITY.
If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause, phrase , or
portion of this Ordinance is , for any reason, held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3 : REPEALER.
That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4 : EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall take effect 10 days after its adoption on
September 15 , 1984 .
