RESOLUTION NO. 1921

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REFUSING
WAIVER OF OBJECTIONS TO THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A WHARF IN FRONT OF LOT 9 , BLOCK 1 ,
PALM ISLAND.

WHEREAS, one C . O . Atkinson has filed applica-
tion with the War Department , requesting a permit
for the construction of a wharf in Biscayne Bay in
front of his property , same being Lot 9 , Block 1 ,
Palm Island Subdivision in the City of Miami Beach,
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council does not favor the
construction of the type of wharf represented on
the plan accompanying said permit application, par-
tiaularly because they feel that it extends too far
into Biscayne Bay , constituting a menace to naviga-
tion and reducing anchorage space , if said type
comes into general use.
NOV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA, that
they hereby refuse to waive their objections to
the granting of a permit to the said C. C. Atkinson
for the construction of said wharf .
