RESOLUTION NO. 1956
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, MR,-
IDA,
LOR-IDA, ENDORSING THE CREATION OF
MIAMI BEACH COUNTY.
BE IT RE SO LVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, in regular meeting assembled
that we herebyendorse the
proposal to create a new
county, to be known as Miami Beach County and composed
of all the .territory within the City Limits of said
Cityof Miami Beach, together with all g a 1 of that land ad
joining said territory on the north and lying east of
the center line of Biscayne Bay and the East Coast Ca-
nal leading north out of same, as far north as the
Broward County line, and including Biscayne Key on the
south, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we hereby urge our
Honorable Senator and Representatives to do their ut-
most to secure the passage of the necessary legisla-
tion to accomplish this result.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of April, A. D.
