A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
URGING PROMPT ACTION ON THE PART OF
THE WAR DEPARTMENT IN THE CONSIDERA-
TION OF OUR APPLICATION FOR PERMIT
TO CONSTRUCT A BRIDGE OVER INDIAN
CREEK.
WHEREAS, the parties who offered the principal
objections to the construction of a fixed span at
41st Street over Indian Creek, in M i am i Beach, have
now withdrawn their objections,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUN-
CIL OF
THCITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that we
through our City Engineer , Ed R. Neff , do hereby urge
upon the War Department of the United States prompt

action in the consideration of our application for
permission ssion to construct said bridge.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that owing to this waiving
of objection ection to the construction of a fixed span, that

the permit now be issued for the construction of aeon--
crete girder bridge with a removable steel center span,
as contemplated in Resolution No. 1868, passed and adop-
ted bysaid CityCouncil on December 5th, 192 , however,
e
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that should the War Depart-
ment deem it advisable that a draw bridge be constructed
on this site, that permit be issued for that type of con-
struction contemplated in Resolution No. 1947, as passed
by said City Council on April 10th, 19 29.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of May, A. D. 1929.
