RESOLUTION NO. 2122
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAXOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, in legal meeting as
sembled, that they herewith express their appreciation
to the National Geographic Society and to Mr . John
Oliver La Gorce for the tribute paid to the State of
Florida and our City in the January issue of the Na-
tional Geographic Magazine.
This most wonderful article, accompanied by many
beautiful pictures, setting forth the economic, health
and recreational facilities of our City and many other
communities in the State, is recognized by us as of in-
estimable value to the citizenry not only of this com-
munity, but of the entire State, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this body wishes to
acknowledge herewith the deep and sincere interest
which our worthy fellow-citizen, Mr . John Oliver
La Gorce, has always taken in the affairs and interests
of our community and state.
