Resolution 2137 RESOLUTION NO. 2137
WHEREAS, Garfield A. Wood proposes to make apnli-
cation to the War Department for permission to construct
a boat slip and concrete seawall on Lot 39, Block 1-A,
La Gorce Golf Subdivision, within the municipal limits
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, as shown upon draw-
ing marked:
"PERMIT SKETCH TO ACCOMPANY APPLICATION TO
CONSTRUCT BOAT SLIP & CONCRETE SEAWALL ON
LOT 39 - BLOCK 1-A, LA GORCE GOLF SUB'DIN.
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
FOR GARFIELD A. WOOD, OWNER
W. J . DEEGAN JR., AGENT,
DECEMBER, 1929"
and,
WHEREAS, said plans have been presented to and con-
sidered by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, the work contemplated by the said Garfield
A. Wood consists of a slip or pocket cut into the proper-
ty from the present or existing bulkhead, which will un-
doubtedly gather debris and become an unsanitary menace to
the neighborhood, and
WHEREAS, the type of construction is against the po-
licy of the City Council in its endeavor to protect the
rights, privileges and comforts of all of our property
owners,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, in legal meeting as-
sembled, that the said City Council objects, and it does
hereby enter formal objections to the said proposed con-
struction.
