Resolution 2288 . RESOLUTION NO. 2288 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, on June 11th, 1930, the Miami Beach Bank & Trust Company suspended business and is now under the control and in custody of the Comptroller of the State of Florida, and WHEREAS at the time of said suspension of business the City of Miami Beach had as a secured deposit in said bank the sum of 1320,307.47 collaterally secured by certain bonds now in the possession of the Chase National Bank and the Bank of Bay Biscayne which is now also in the control of said Comptroller; and Whereas, the said City Council deem it to be the best interest of said City that it have actual possession of said bonds NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Comptroller of the State of Florida be requested to immediately cause to be delivered to C. W. Tomlinson, City Clerk of said City who is hereby authorized to receive and receipt for same, all bonds and other collateral security now held by the Chase National Bank and the Bank of Bay Biscayne on behalf of the said City of Miami Beach, Florida.
