Resolution 2413 RESOLUTION NO. 2413
WHEREAS, it appears that the property along
Ocean Drive from 6th Street through to 14th Lane is
now classified in the "BA" District, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the owners of a major-
ity of the frontage of said property between 8th
Street and 14th Lane have by petition requested that
said area be classified and made into an "RE" District
under Ordinance No. 289 of the City of Miami Beach,
commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Miami
Beach, upon its own initiative deems it advisable to
consider the redistricting and rezoning of not only
the property mentioned in the petition above referred
to, but also the property fronting on Ocean Drive be-
tween 6th Street and 8th Street, changing this entire
area into an "RE" District under said Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public
hearing be called on the 6th day of May, 1931, at
19:00 o'clock A. M. , in the Council Chambers at the
City Hall, Miami Beach, Florida, for the purpose of
considering the amending, supplementing, changing,
modifying or repealing of the regulations, restric-
tions and boundaries of the hereinafter described
property:
That area bounded on the North by Four-
teenth (14th) Lane, on the East by Ocean
Drive, on the South by Sixth (6th)
Street, and on the West by that Alley
running in a Northerly and Southerly di-
rection through Blocks Eleven (11)
Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13) of OCEAN
BEACH ADDITION NO. 1, and Blocks Four-
teen (14) , Fifteen (15) , Sixteen (16) ,
Seventeen (17) , Eighteen (18) and Nine-
teen (19) of OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO. 2,
all in the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 11, and
Plat Book 2, Page 56, respectively, of
the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida,
so as to change said area from what is known as "BA"
Business District to "RE" Multiple-Family District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of the time,
place and object of such hearing be published as pro-
vided by law.
