Resolution 2420 RESOLUTION NO. 2420 WHEREAS, we have been advised that House Bill No. 277 and Senate Bill No. 184 of the present session of the Legislature of the State of Florida have been intro- duced and favorable reported upon by the Committees to which same were referred, the purpose of said bills be- ing to make the liens of State and County taxes super- ior to the liens of municipal taxes and assessments for special improvements , and WHEREAS, after careful consideration thereof, we are convinced that said bills if enacted into law would be extremely detrimental to the best interests of not only the City of Miami Beach, but to all municipalities of the State of Florida, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Miami Beach that the Honor- able John W. Watson and the Honorable Messrs. S. Pierre Robineau, Daniel Chappell and J. Walter Kehoe, be urgent- ly requested to use their utmost influence in opposition to said bills , and all other bills of like nature and purpose. BE IT . 'u±THER RESOLVED that copies of this resolu- tion be mailed to our said Senator and Representatives, to the Honorable Doyle E. Carlton, Governor of said State, and to the Executive offices of the Florida League of Municipalities. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of April, A. D. 1931.
