Resolution 2448 RESOLUTION NO. 2448 WHEREAS, it has become the practice of owners or operators of Miniature Golf Courses and other similar places of amusement to abandon said premises without levelling the land and removing paraphernalia, which renders said properties inaccessible to mowing machines used in keeping down weeds and undergrowth on other vacant property within the City Limits, and, WHEREAS, said premises have therefore become overgrown with weeds and undergrowth and in many cas- es said properties are now strewn with rubbish, debris, trash and unsightly and unsanitary matter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUN- CIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the owners of the following described properties, located in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, to-wit: Lots 6, 7 and S, Block 15, Ocean Beach Addition No. 2, Lots 9, 10 and 11, Block 28, Ocean Beach Addition No. 2, Lots 1 and 2, Block 30, Fisher's First Subdivision of Alton Beach, Lots 1 and 2, Block 9, Ocean Beach Subdivision, Lots 10 and 12 less the north 25' , Block 2, Miami Beach Improvement Company's Ocean Front Property, Lots 14, 15 and 16, Block 104, Ocean Beach Addition No. 3, Lots S, 9 and 10, Aquarium Site Resubdi- vision, Lots 9, 10 and 11, Block 84, Ocean Beach Addition No. 3, Lots 9, 10 and 11, Harrison & Hayes Sub- division, Lots S, 9, 10 and 11, Block 16, Ocean Beach Addition No. 2, Lots 2 and 3, Block 48, Ocean Beach Ad- dition No. 3, Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, Block A, Miami Beach Improvement Company's Ocean Front Property, Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 1, Miami Beach Improvement Company's Ocean Front Property, Lots 1 , 5 and 6, Block 1, Friedman & Cope Subdivision, all in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, are hereby required to clear said lots of and destroy weeds, undergrowth, rubbish, debris, trash and unsightly and unsanitary matter thereon, on or before June 23rd, 1931, and if said property owners fail to com- ply with this requirement within the time limit aforesaid, that this City Council will cause said work to be done, and make the cost thereof a charge and lien against said properties of the same extent and character as the liens provided for special as- sessments in Section 29 and 30 of the City Charter, which charge shall forthwith be due and payable. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the owners of said properties be further notified that hereafter they will be required to keep said lots clear of weeds, undergrowth, rubbish, debris, trash and unsightly and unsanitary matter, and if they fail so to do, the said City Council will cause said work to be done on or about September 1st, November 1st, January 1st, March 1st, May 1st and July 1st of each year hereafter, and make the cost thereof a charge and lien against said property of the same extent and character as the liens provided for special assessments in said Section 29 and 30 of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach, Florida, which said charge shall forth- with be due and payable. SECTION 2. That notice to such owners be given by publication in "The Miami Beach Times", a newspaper published in the City of Miami Beach, Flor- ida, one time, not less than ten days prior to June 23rd, 1931.
