AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF AND ON BEHALF
OF TEE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, BY WRITTEN
PURCHASE ORDER, TO AUTHORIZE, DIRECT AND ORDER
FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY TO INSTALL, CONNECT
AND/OR SERVE ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTS AND TO
CHANGE THE LOCATION OF CERTAIN STREET LIGHTS AND TO
AUTHORIZE PAYMENTS BY THE CITY IN CONNECTION THERE-
WITH, ALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STREET LIGHTING
AGREEMENT NOW IN EFFECT BETWEEN THE CITY AND SAID
COMPANY AND DATED TOE 17TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1931;
REPEALING RESOLUTION NUMBER 1903 PASSED AND ADOPTED
ON JANUARY 2, 1929, RELATING TO THE AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY MANAGER IN CONNECTION WITH ADDITIONAL
STREET LIGHTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That the City Manager, of and on behalf of the
City, be and he is hereby authorized, as he shall deem it neces-
sary and advisable from time to time, to authorize, direct and
order, by written Purchase Order, Florida Power & Light Company
to install, connect and/or serve additional street lights within
the corporate limits of the City, to change the location of
certain street lights, and to authorize payment by the City of
costs in connection therewith, all in accordance with the Street
Lighting Agreement now in effect between the City and Florida
Power & Light Company, and dated the 17th day of September, 1931.
2. That Resolution No. 1903, passed and adopted by
the City Council on the 2nd day of January 1929, be and the same
is hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of January, A. D. 1932.
