Parks and Recreation is starting the new year off with the following events and would
love to invite you!
LETTER TO COMMISSION
City Commission
Event: Danny Berry Baseball Tournament
Date: January 12th — 14th, 2018
Time: Friday 7:OOpm-9:OOpm; Saturday 10:OOam-8:OOpm; Sunday 10:OOam-6:OOpm
Locations: North Shore Park Baseball Fields
Danny Berry Baseball Program will be hosting a U10 and U12 Danny Berry Baseball
tournament. The Tournament will consist of 12 teams from South Florida with two (2)
teams from the Danny Berry Baseball Program representing the City of Miami Beach.
Games will take place at North Shore Park Baseball Fields.
Event: JOSE MARTi EVENT
Dates: Friday, January 26, 2018
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Collins Park
To celebrate Jose Marti's life and accomplishments, the City will be hosting an event
filled with music, guest speakers, cafecito, and much more.
The event will begin with refreshments at 9:00 a.m. and the ceremony will commence at
10:00 a.m.
Event: Danny Berry Middle School League (Majors Division)
Date: January -May
Locations: North Shore Park Baseball Field
City of Miami Beach Youth Baseball League in partnership with Danny Berry Baseball
will be expanding its level of play to include a Middle School League (Majors Division).
The goal is to expand the baseball program to include the Middle School League to act
as a feeder program for Miami Beach Senior High. Registration for the Danny Berry
Baseball League is currently taking place with an anticipated opening day of February
11th.
Event: Free Open Doubles Tournament
Date: January 27th, 2018
Time: Saturday 10:OOam-3:OOpm
Locations: North Shore Park Tennis Center
To celebrate the new management and recent renovation to the North Shore Park
Tennis Center, the City of Miami Beach and Miami Beach Tennis Academy invite you to
an Open Doubles event on Saturday January 27th 2018. Play some fun doubles with a
friend, partner or child at your own level (intermediate 3.0 or below, or advanced 3.0 and
above, mixed doubles also). There will be a barbeque and music during the event and all
are welcome. Registration deadline for the tournament is January 21st, at the North
Shore Park Tennis Center.
