Resolution 2564 RESOLUTION NO. 256+ WHEREAS, on the 5th day of October, A. D. , 1932, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, waived its objections to the proposed construction of a pier in the Atlantic Ocean, off Virginia Key, as shown upon two drawings marked: "SKETCH TO ACCOMPANY PERMIT APPLICATION TO CONSTRUCT A PIER IN ATLANTIC OCEAN OFF VIRGINIA KEY, MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA. PARADISE BEACH COR - PORATION ZURWELLE & WHITTAKER CO. , ENG. & AGT. SEPT. 20, 1932. " and, WHEREAS, it has since come to the attention of said City Council that said pier is to be used for commercial negro bathing purposes, which in the opinion of said Coun- cil, is not for the best interests of said City, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, in regular meeting assembled, that said Council does hereby rescind said waiver and protests against the issuance of said permit. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of October, A. D. 1932.
