A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE
WAR DEPARTMENT OF THE UNITED STATES
FOR PERMISSION TO CONSTRUCT A BRIDGE
OVER BISCAYNE BAY, CONNECTING THE DADE
COUNTY CAUSEWAY WITH STAR ISLAND, IN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
That Claude A. Renshaw, City Manager for said City,
be and he is hereby directed and authorized to make appli-
cation to the War Department of the United States for a
permit to construct a bridge over Biscayne Bay, connecting
the Dade County Causeway with Star Island, in the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, said construction to be of a concrete
deck and pipe hand rail supported by creosoted piling trestle
work, and to make such application in the name of said City
or in his own name as representative of the said City.
