RESOLUTION SHOWING THE NECESSITY FOR FEDERAL FUNDS FOR CIVIL
WORK PROJECTS
BE IT RESOLVFD BY the City Council of the City of
Miami Leach, County of Dade, State of Florida , that the Civil
Works Administration, by its proposal for a work project for
grading, placi:r soil, grassing, and otherwise beautifying
the parkways on all streets and avenues lying between Collins
Canal and West 63rd Street, which is a public project for the
benefit of the general public, and not for the benefit of any
private interest, and the title to the property upon which the
wzrk is to be performed is vested in the City of Miami Beach,
of Dade County, State of Florida.
The project embraces work that needs to be done for the general
good of the community, that there are no appropriated public
funds available, nor any other way in which local public funds
may be made available with which to do this work, and that unless
Federal Funds are used for this purpose, the said work cannot be
done at this time, nor at any time within the near future; that
any material over and above 30A of the total cost of Projeqt will

Summary, of Work
Area to be graded 345,000 square yards
Grading shall consist of: removing or filling ground to conform
to established grade for purpose of beautification and drainage -
removing or replacing shrubs, trees or other obstructions where
necessary - placing soil - planting grass- placing trees and shrubs
where necessary, - placing cast iron culverts under driveways
where necessary.
