Resolution 2734 RESOLUTION NO. 2734
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that considera-
tion is being given the construction of a new viaduct and
bascule bridge over the inland waterway and replacing the
present westerly viaduct of the County Causeway, and
WHEREAS, the inadequate clearance of said present bas-
cule bridge has resulted in needless annoying traffic Gon-
g estion,
NOW, T sr FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
SAID CITY that when and if a new viaduct and bridge is con-
structed. a.s above referred to. that the authority under whom
said work is being done be urged to build the new structure
of sufficient clearance so that many of the smaller craft
plying this waterway may be enabled to pass under said struc-
ture without the necessity of raising the draw.
