BE IT RESOLVED that the City Attorney and
City Manager be instructed to investigate the legal
aspects of a sales tax for Miami Beach and if found
within the powers of the City Council to enact such
an ordinance to prepare a suitable ordinance calling
for a 2% tax on retail sales made within the City
limits to be referred back to the City Council for
consideration.
