A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZI 'G AND DIRECTING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO MAKE APPLICATION TOME
WAR DEPARTMENT OF THE UNITED STATES FOR
PERMISSION TO RECONSTRUCT THE TWO
BRIDGES OVER THE EAST AND WEST CHAN:ELS OF
INDIAN CREEK AT WEST SIXTY-THIRD STREET,
IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That Morris N.Lipp, City Engineer , for said City, be and
he is hereby directed and authorized to make application to the
W ar Department of the United States for a Permit to reconstruct
the two bridges over the East and West channels of Indian Creek
at West Sixty-third. Street in the City of Miami Beach,Florida; said
work to consist of the removal of the approaches to the bascule
span of the bridge over the East channel and of the approaches to the
steel center s3a.n of the bridge over the West channel and replacing
said anoroaches with a construction of reinforced concrete deck
supported by creosoted_ piling, and also to consist of the lowering of
the steel center span of the bridge over the West channel to a vertical
clearance of eight feet and constructing thereon a reinforced concrete
deck and supporting it with creosoted piling; and to make each appli-
cation in the name of said city or in his ownname as representative
of the said City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th Day of Ma_rch,A.D.1934.
