Resolution 2921 RESOLUTION NO. 2921 WHEREAS, The New York Giants Base Ball Club have expressed a desire to return for their 1935 spring training to Flamingo Park in our City: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the Flamingo Park base ball facilities be again tendered the National Exhibition Co. , operating the New York Base Ball Club, for spring training in the year 1935, the said City Council hereby agreeing to make the following specific improvements to said Flamingo Park facilities: 1. Extend the locker room to accomodate forty lockers. 2. Provide suitable toilet facilities at the Grand Stand. 3. Construct a canvas or hedge fence along the easterly side of Flamingo Field. 4. Erect a suitable background in the center field, at a cost not exceeding 4 50.00 The cost of any additional improvements or extensions of the present facilities required by the said National Exhibition Co. , other than those enumerated above, shall be borne by the said National Exhibition Co. SECTION 2: That the said National Exhibition Co. shall collect and retain all gate receipts and proceeds from concessions, which concessions shall first be approved as to their characten and nature by the City Council of Miami Beach, Florida. SECTION 3: That the National Exhibition Co. be required to provide, at its own expense, satisfactory public liability insurance in the amounts of $ 50,000. for injury to any one person, and $ 100,000. for injury for any one accident, indemnifying the City of Miami Beach against loss by reason of any such accident or accidents, which may occur by reason of , or during the use of Flamingo Park by said National Exhibition Co.
