Resolution 3146 RESOLUTION NO. 3146 WHEREAS we are advised that the State Legislature is con- sidering a bill known as the Tillmin Florida Recovery Act, re- lating to the operation of Chain Storrs in Florida, and WHEREAS, after consideration of the effect of this proposed aet, on many of the important establishments in our City we are convinced that the interestsof a very great majority of our citizens would be seriously, if not irreparably daa6edthereby, and :TIEREA3 in all tourist cities in our State, including Beach, one of the leading inducements to bring people of means is the fact that brarohes of nationally known fashionable shops and stores are located here for ther convenience and staid branches Pay year round rentals on high class business properties, thus enabling our property owners to keep their taxes paid, and WHEREAS, we are convinced that such a bill if passed would seriously injure the tourist trade of our State, NOW, THFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 14E CITY OF !4W41 BEACH, FLORIDA, that we respectfully urge end re- quest of our Representativee and Senator that they exert theirutmost influence to prevent the pessage of this Bill, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be sent to the following: The Honorable J.
