Canvassing Board Schedule ELECTION NOTICE (Revised 8/23/14) The Miami-Dade County Canvassing Board will convene at the Office of the Supervisor of Elections, 2700 NW 87th Avenue, Miami, Florida. The Canvassing Board is convening on these dates in preparation to conduct the Primary Election to be held on August 26, 2014. DATE/TIME ACTIVITY Wednesday, 8/6/14 10:00 a.m. 1. Logic and Accuracy Test of the touch screen and optical scan voting systems to be used for early voting, absentee, and precinct ballots Friday, 8/8/14 2:00 p.m. 1. Public inspection of absentee ballots Monday, 8/11/14 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, 8/26/14 1. Pre-count Logic and Accuracy Test of the optical scan voting systems used for absentee and provisional ballots 2. Absentee ballots opening and processing (as needed) 3. Duplication of ballots (as needed) Wednesday, 8/13/14 Friday, 8/15/14 Wednesday, 8/20/14 Friday, 8/22/14 Monday, 8/25/14 Cancelled Canvassing: 10:00 a.m. to completion (as needed) 1. Canvassing of presumed invalid absentee ballots (as needed) Tuesday, 8/26/14 Canvassing: 3:00 12:00 p.m. through Friday, 8/29/14 to completion 1. Canvassing of presumed invalid absentee ballots (as needed) 2. Tabulation of results 3. Preliminary Election returns (Unofficial) to State Friday, 8/29/14 Canvassing: 9:00 a.m. to completion 1. Provisional ballots processing (as needed) 2. Certification of Unofficial Results, including provisionals (Deadline-Noon) 3. Post-count Logic and Accuracy Test of the optical scan voting systems used for absentee and provisional ballots Tuesday, 9/2/14 Canvassing: 10:00 a.m. to completion 1. Certification of Official Results (Deadline-5:00 p.m.) 2. Race/question and precincts selection for manual post-election State audit Friday, 9/5/14 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, 9/9/14 to completion 1. In accordance with Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person who appeals any decision by the canvassing board with respect to any matter considered at a meeting, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and therefore will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made.
