Resolution 3211 RESOLUTION NO. 3211
WHEREAS, the deepening to a depth of thirty feet of
the Harbor at Miami is expected to be completed on or about
August of this yer, and
7HEREAS, siee 1918, whenever the Harbor has been
deepened there has been a steady increase in the number and
draft of vessels calling at the Harbor, as shown by the re-
ports of the United States Engineers, and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements of the Causeway
Terminal are an integral part of the co-ordinated plans for
the improvement of Miami Harbor, and
' HT.REAS0 plans have now been prepared for the construc-
tion of a passenger and freight terminal at the said Causeway
Terminal and an application has been filed with the Federal
Government by the Peninsular Terminal Company for a loan for
the purpose of constructing uhe said utility.
NO'-7„ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE.CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that we hereby approve and
endorse the proposed docks, passenger and freight terminal
at the Causeway Terminal, Miami Beach and request that the
said application for construction be given favorable con-
sideration by the Federal Agencies concerned.
