A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A CHANGE
IN THE CITY CHARTER ELIMINATING
THE PRESENT PROVISION FOR ANOTHER
ELECTION IN CASE OF A VACANCY IN
THE OFFICE OF MAYOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Honorable J. W. Watson, Senator,
and the Honorable S. P. Robineau, Dan Chappell and Glen C.
Mincer, Representatives, be and they are hereby requested
to use their vote and influence to have passed at the pre-
sent session of the State Legislature an Act to amend our
present City Charter and Section 27 of same in particular,
so as to eliminate the provision for another election in
case of a vacancy in the office of Mayor.
