A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
OBJECTING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
WHARF AND TWO PIERS IN BISCAYNE BAY
OFF LOTS 23, 24 AND 25 OF AQUARIUM
SITE SUBDIVISION IN MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Argaunot Properties, Inc. , of Miami Beach, Florida,
have made application to the War Department for a permit to con—
struct in Biscayne Bay, off Lots 23, 24 and 25 in Aquarium Site
Subdivision, immediately north of the County Causeway, a timber
and concrete wharf and two piers, and
WHEREAS, the construction of these additional piers extend..
ing sixty feet into Biscayne Bay would tend to obstruct the free
flow of the tide and would add a large number of fishing and
pleasure craft which would of necessity have to pass through the
East drawbridge of the County Causeway in order to reach the
lower Bay or the Ocean, thus causing the said bridge to be opened
and closed much more often than at present with its resultant de.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that we by this resolution do hereby
protest against the issuance of this permit by the United States
War Department.
