A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Charles Wathen Chase , Senior, became identi-
fied with the City of Miami Beach in 1921 and for fifteen
of the twenty years of its corporate existence, gave his
untiring energy and clear thinking to its upbuilding, con-
tributing in great and generous measure to its progress , and
WHEREAS, Charles Wathen Chase , Senior, through his
great personal love for the city of his adoption, was a con-
tinual defender of its rights and a leader in every fight
that these rights be preserved, and
WHEREAS, Almighty God, in his infinite wisdom, has
seen fit to call this kind, distinguished citizen and worker
to his just reward,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, in meeting here assembled,
that we pay tribute to this distinguished man who has con-
tributed so much of his ability and life to our progress and
well-being and offer our heart-felt sympathy to his family,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a page be set aside in the
official minute book of this City Council to commemorate his
memory.
