The Rising Above portal will seri website, but will function as a portal for resiliet and mitigation initiatives. Rising Above Portal is launching today, January as an extension of the City of Miami Beach cy, as well as a go to page for climate adaption The goal of the website is to provide the community with a one stop shop of valuable resources and tools they can utilize to become familiar with climate change and sea level rise initiatives. The website will also feature sections on the city's stormwater program, land use and development regulations, sustainable transportation, and conservation/efficiency resources for residents and businesses. The process involved piggybacking off RFP#2015-163 with Just Program, LLC dba SoloDev, the internet software and website development company utilized for the City of Miami Beach website. The collaboration with Solodev was vital in designing a sleek, user-friendly website. This was a true interdepartmental effort and I want to recognize and thank Planning, Public Works, Building, Emergency Management, Information Technology, and Environment and Sustainability for contributing their knowledge and expertise.I also want to give a special recognition to Susanne Torriente, Assistant City Manager/Chief Resiliency Officer and Yanira Pineda, Sustainability Specialist for their efforts over the last year on bringing this concept into reality.
