C: Executive Staff Dr. Leslie Rosenfeld, Chief Learning Development Officer KGB/L City of Miami Beach Committee for Quality Education Meeting of January 23, 2018 Members Present: Beverly Heller, Beth Edwards (PT), Karen Edelstein, Judith Berson -Levinson, Tiffany Heckler, Jill Swartz, Karmencha Santana -Vega, Faiza Liban, Joshua Levy, Yudy De La Nuez, and Mary Keinath Members Absent: Betsy Mateu, Yvette Tache, and Ivan Alvarez Motion made by Beverly Heller Motion seconded by Dr. Judi Bersonallu-Levinson Motion Text: The Committee for Quality Education recommends the Miami Beach Mayor and Commission request a feasibility study be done pertaining to a drop-off lane on Dade Boulevard for Miami Beach Senior High School families. The Committee for Quality Education urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request. Motion Passage: Votes 6-4 Motion made by Jill Swartz Motion seconded by Beverly Heller Motion Text: The Committee for Quality Education requests the Miami Beach Mayor and Commission create a promotional media project highlighting each of Miami Beach's public schools and ensure the City's education webpage(s) remains on the City's main website homepage as a quick link/most visited icon. The Committee for Quality Education urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request. Motion Passage: Votes 10-0
