A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, WAIVING SPECIAL
EVENT FEES, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $ 18,846.12, FOR
THE FOLLOWING WINTER PARTY EVENTS: THE BEACH
PARTY TO BE HELD ON MARCH 4, 2018 ON LUMMUS PARK
BEACHFRONT AT 12TH STREET, AND THE POOL PARTY TO
BE HELD MARCH 2 -3, 2018 AT THE SURFCOMBER HOTEL.
WHEREAS, The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, is a Florida not - for - profit
corporation that is celebrating its 25th Anniversary Season in presenting the Winter Party
Festival throughout Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the 2018 Winter Party will be host to more than 10,000 visitors to Miami
Beach from around the world; and
WHEREAS, the Winter Party Beach Party Event will be held on March 4, 2018 at the
Lummus Park beachfront at 12th Street, and the Pool Party Event will be held March 2 -3, 2018
at the Surfcomber Hotel; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends, and the Mayor and City Commission
approve, the waiver of special event fees, in the total amount of $18,846.12, for the 25th
Anniversary Winter Party Festival, which represents $11,993.75 in square footage fees, $1,495
in Police administrative fees, $2,250 in Vehicle Beach Access Passes, $2,357.37 in Lummus
Park User fees; the application fee of $250.00, and the permit fee of $500.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby waive special event fees, in the total amount of $18,846.12, for the 2018
Winter Party Festival as more specifically set forth herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of January, 2018.
