Resolution 3669 RESOLUTION NO. 3669
WHEREAS, application has been made recently to the City
Council of the City of Miami Reach by the People' s Water and Cas
Company for the erection in the southern section of the city,
of tanks for the storage of gas; and
WHEREAS, news of such application for permit has brought
forth protests from the citizens of the Southern section of the
City as well as from citizens of other parts of the City; and
WHEREAS, the members of the City Council desire to re-
assure the citizens of the City who fear that such permit may be
granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE that the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach does hereby express itself as unalterably
opposed to the erection or construction of any gas tanks or tanks
of like nature within the area under consideration, and the City
Council does hereby adopt the policy that the erection or construct-
ion of such tanks is contrary to the public welfare, injurious to
the public health and detrimental to the public safety.
