A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA,
ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE SAID CITY
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING OCTOBER
31st , 1937.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH , FLORIDA, that:
WHEREAS , the Acting City Tax Assessor of said City has
notified this body that the amount of the sum total of taxable
property in the said City of Miami Beach, Dade County , Florida,
for the tax year 1936 is Fifty Million, Five Hundred Fourteen
Thousand, Three Hundred Fifteen and no/100 ( $50 ,514,315.00) ,
subject , however, to an allowance of Three Million, Three Hundred
Forty-one Thousand, Four Hundred Forty-Five and no/100 Dollars
( $3 ,341 ,445.00) for Homestead Exemptions , pursuant to the provi-
sions of an Act known as "Senate Bill No. 123" , adopted by the
State Legislature in 1935 , leaving a net assessed valuation of
Forty-Sever, Million , One Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand , Eight
Hundred Suvity and No/100 Dollars ($47 ,172 ,870.00) ,
THEREFORE , in conformity with Section 43 of the City Charter
of said City, the City Council has ascertained the amount of the
money needed for each department and makes the following estimate
to be raised by taxes on all of the taxable property in the said
City for the year, A. D. , 1936 , namely:
