Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018 -027 -WG,
for Geotechnical Engineering and Laboratory Testing of Soil and Groundwater for the
Miami Beach Convention Center
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018 -027 -WG, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified
firm(s) for geotechnical engineering and laboratory testing of soil and groundwater for the Miami
Beach Convention Center.
The City will receive proposals pursuant to this RFQ on Friday, February 16, 2018. The responsive
proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established
in the RFQ.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Margarita Wells, Assistant Director, Environment and Sustainability Department, City of
Miami Beach
• Thais Vieira, Senior Capital Project Coordinator, Office of the City Manager, City of Miami
Beach
• Jose Del Risco, Assistant Director, Parks and Recreation Department, City of Miami Beach
• Maria Cerna, Division Director, Office of Capital Improvement Projects, City of Miami Beach
• Jay Fink, Assistant Director, Public Works, City of Miami Beach
am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Stanley Kolosovskiy, Environmental Specialist, Environment and Sustainability Department,
City of Miami Beach
• Eric Arencibia, Capital Projects Coordinator, Office of Capital Improvement Projects, City of
Miami Beach
• Cindy Casanova, Assistant Director, Parks and Recreation Department, City of Miami Beach
