Records in St. Matthews Church or Christ Church in Nas-
sau, N. P., show that Samuel Kemp and Sarah Curry, whose
places of abode were Nassau, were married 25 Jul 1817 by Rev.
\\'illiaw Ilepworth.
The parentage of this Sarah Corry is not known.
Reference has already been made (v 4 Bahama Records)
to conveyance by the Land Board, between 1835 and 1839, of
a lot in New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay, to each Samuel
Kemp (4) and his son, Samuel Kemp (401), for 12 each, and
the conveyance of one of these lots, No. 18, on 23 Jun 1849,
for L31:5:0, by Samuel Kemp believed to have been the son,
S. •1, as the: father had removed to Key West, Fla., in 1836.

Samuel Kemp (401) was horn in the Bahamas, probably
Harbour Island where his parents first resided.
Marriage records in church at Nassau indicates that lie re-
sided in Nassau at the time of his marriage. He later removed
to Green Turtle Cay and then apparently, 23 Jun 1849, sold
his lot there and removed Io Key \Vest, Fla., sometime before
23 Jul 1854, when his wife was recorded as a Communicant of
St. Paul's Church.
All of the ;ons and daughters of Sa 1 and Sarah (Curry)
Kemp and their families removed from the. Bahamas to Kcy
West.

Samuel Kemp (4011) married, first, Jane Elizabeth Pearce,
by w) all his children were born, and second, Mrs. Rebecca
Amanda Curry. whose maiden surname is not known, widow
of Joseph Curry whose parentage is not known.

The information above quoted was quoted. Jan. 28, 1933,
to the Adjutant General, \Var Department, Washington, 1). C.,
with a request for "an authentic record covering about the
s;unc scope" "for use for a biographical purpose in a family
publication." That office replied: "This office is in receipt of
numerous similar requests for information from the records for
the purpose stated. but owing to the lintited clereial force it
has Leen innpraetieahl' to comply with such requests without
seriously interfering with other current work of the office."

Azariah Kemp was born and married in the Bahamas,
probably at Harbour Island where his parents resided.
He was educated by his father as a navigator and was a
sea captain. In the latter part of his life he had a ship fitting
establishment in Key West, Fla.
He removed with his parents to Green Turtle Cay. He
finally removed to Key West, Fla., where be and his wife died
and are buried in the City Cemetery, the exact location un-
known as their graves are unmarked.
He has no living descendants.
Mary Ami Lowe was daughter of Matthew Lowe and grand-
daughter of Gideon and Nancy (Saunders) Lowe (v 30c The
Lowe Family) .
We have seen (v 4 Bahama Records) that between 1835
and 1839, the Land Board, for E2, conveyed to Azariah Kemp
lot 57 in New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay, at the time Lots
were conveyed to his father and brothers.
