RESOLUTION
NUMBER 3J 33
WHEREAS , our esteemed friend, Mr. Clayton Sedgewick
Cooper, has been recently called to his reward, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Cooper has for a number of years been
identified with the cultural growth and development of our
community and was always associated with every movement
that had an uplifting influence , and
WHEREAS, his outstanding work of organization and his
genial and friendly personality has done much towards inter-
esting and holding together at Miami Beach many outstanding
men of character, wealth and prominence throughout the nation,
and
WHEREAS, our citizens will miss this kindly man and
long remember him as a friend of Miami Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA, that we do hereby, not only
for ourselves but in behalf of the whole community, express
our deep regret at his passing and tender to his widow our
heartfelt sympathy in her bereavement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of October, A. D. ,
1936.
