RESOLUTION NO. 3787
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
upon its own initiative will consider the amending, supplementing,
changing, modifying and/or repealing of the regulations , restrict-
ions , and/or boundaries as provided in Ordinance No. 289 , commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance of Miami Beach, Florida, as hereinafter
set forth, to-wit:
That Ordinance No. 289 of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
be amended as follows :
That the use and area regulations of the following described
property, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the south line of Section 2 ,
T. 53 S. , R. 42 E. , known as Government Meander Corner
and described as such in the survey notes of "Survey
of United States Coast Guard Life Saving Station in
Section 2, T. 53 S. , R. 42 E. " made in May , 1921 by
Albert Smith, Jr. , United States Cadastral Engineer;
thence following the said South line of Section 2,
S. 87 degrees , 56 minutes west a distance of 669.061
to a point; thence N. 33 degrees 44 minutes west a
distance of 6501 , more or less , to a point on the south
line , produced westerly , of Harding Townsite , as shown
on a Plat recorded in Plat Book 34, Page 4, of the Public
Records of Dade County., Florida; thence easterly along
the said south line of Harding Townsite produced westerly
N. 87 degress , 34 minutes , 30 seconds east a distance
of 7751 , more or less, to a point on the Government
Meander Line: thence following the Government Meander
Line in a southerly direction as follows: S. 39 degrees ,
40 minutes east a distance of 185. 2' to a point; thence
south 68 degress , 25 minutes east a distance of 190.11
to a point; thence south 15 degrees , 50 minutes west a
distance of 271.9 ' to the point of beginning,
be amended, changed and modified so as to change the above
described land from its present Use Regulation District "BG"
Business District , to what is known as the "RE" Multiple Family
District , and also
so as to change the above described land from its present Area
Regulation District No. 1, to what is known as Area Regulation
District No. 17 ,
as all Districts mentioned herein are described in Sections 5, 13
and 16 of said Ordinance No. 289 , as amended.
NON THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be called
for the 6th day of January , A. D. , 19 36 , at 10:00 o' clock A. M. , in
the Council Chambers at the City Hall , Miami Beach, Florida, for the
purpose as above set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that notice of the time , place and
object of such hearing be published as is provided by said Ordinance
No. 289.
