RESOLUTION NO. 3834
A RESOLUTION ELECTING TO FORECLOSE AND
PROVIDING FOR THE FORECLOSURE OF ALL
TAX CERTIFICATES HELD BY THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH FOR TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1933
AND/OR PRIOR YEARS, AND ALL OTHER CLAIMS
AND DEMANDS OF SAID CITY AGAINST THE LANDS
COVERED BY SAID CERTIFICATES, OR ANY PART
THEREOF, FOR TAXES, TAX CERTIFICATES AND/
OR SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, OR INSTALLMENTS
THEREOF, WHICH MAY BE DUE AND PAYABLE TO
SAID CITY AT THE TIME OF THE INSTITUTION
OF THE FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS,
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach holds numerous Tax Cert-
ificates upon lands within the City for delinquent City of Miami
Beach taxes, and
WHEREAS, the City has other claims and demands against said
lands, or the greater part thereof, for taxes, Tax Certificates and/
or special assessments or installments thereof, which are due and
payable to the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it wise and expedient to en-
force by foreclosure the collection of all said Tax Certificates for
taxes for the year 1933 and/or prior years and all other claims,
demands, taxes, Tax Certificates and/or special assessments, against
the lands covered by said Certificates, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 15038 of the Acts of 1931, Laws of Florida,
1 provides a method of foreclosure of Tax Certificates and other claims
and demands held by incorporated cities and towns in the State of
Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH:
1. That the City of Miami Beach, by and through its City Council,
does hereby elect to enforce and foreclose, by proceedings under
Chapter 15038 of the Acts of 1931, Laws of Florida, all Tax Certif-
icates held by City of Miami Beach for taxes for the year 1933 and/or
prior years and all other claims and demands of said City against the
lands covered by said Certificates, or any part thereof, for taxes,
Tax Certificates and/or special assessments, or installments thereof,
which may be due and payable to said City at the time of the institu-
tion of the foreclosure proceedings.
