RESOLUTION NO. 73-14120
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach and Metropolitan
Dade County are mutually desirous of embarking upon a joint
program for the rendition of drug treatment services by the
City of Miami Beach program denominated "Operation Re-Entry"
to persons referred to it by Dade County under its Comprehen-
sive Drug Program, and
WHEREAS , an appropriate agreement has been prepared
setting forth the terms and conditions for the rendition of
such services by "Operation Re-Entry" to Dade County, which
agreement shall be for a period of one (1) year commencing
September 4 , 1973 with a provision, at the option of the
parties , for the renewal thereof for an additional year; and
which agreement provides for the amount of compensation to
be paid to "Operation Re-Entry" by Dade County, which compen-
sation is agreed will be paid in accordance with the budgetary
provisions thereof, which are attached thereto and made a
part of the proposed agreement, the maximum compensation
payable being Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60 , 000 . 00) , and
WHEREAS , said agreement has been approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS , the City Council deems it is in the best
interests of the City of Miami Beach and its residents that
said proposed agreement be entered into,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the
Acting. City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute
and deliver said agreement in the name and on behalf of the
City of Miami Beach.
