Resolution 73-14121-A RESOLUTION NO. 73-14121A
WHEREAS, Miami-Dade Community College is conducting
courses of instruction in the field of criminal justice, and
WHEREAS , said College is desirous of obtaining one
or more competent instructional individuals, to be designated
by the College as Training Advisor (s) , to teach specialized
courses of instruction in criminal justice, and desires to
engage City of Miami Beach Police Personnel to provide appro-
priate instructional personnel, on a regular daily basis under
the direction and supervision of the College, and
WHEREAS , making such personnel available to said
College is of mutual advantage and assistance, and
WHEREAS , said College has agreed to compensate the
City of Miami Beach for the services of such designated
Training Advisor (s) on the basis of $12,000 annually for each
full time equivalent Training Advisor position furnished, or
porportionately for that time served as an Advisor, and
WHEREAS , an appropriate agreement has been prepared
setting forth the terms and conditions upon which the City of
Miami Beach will supply such Training Advisor (s) , and
WHEREAS , said agreement has been approved as to form
by the City Attorney and as to substance by the City Manager
and the Police Chief, and
WHEREAS , the City Council is fully advised in the
premises and deems it to be in the best interests of the City
and its residents .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the Acting City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute the said agreement in the name of an on behalf of
the City of Miami Beach.
