RESOLUTION NO. 73-14122
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
a proposed Cooperative Agreement for Investigation of Water Resources, to be
conducted by the Geological Survey, United States Department of the Interior,
for the period commencing July 1 , 1973 to June 30, 1974; and
WHEREAS, this agreement contemplates that the Federal Government will
contribute $21 ,500.00 and the MIAMI -DADE WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY and the
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH will contribute $21 ,500.00 toward the cost of such
geological survey. The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Authority to bear
$17,300.00 (76% of $17,500.00 plus 100% of $4,000.00) , and the City of
Miami Beach to bear 24% of $17,500.00 or $4,200.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, deems
it to be in the best interest of the City, and its citizens and residents,
to enter into said agreement, the City Council being familiar with the
terms thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the proper officials of the City of Miami Beach
be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement in
the name of and on behalf of said City, and that the proper financial and
disbursing officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to disburse the sums called for by said agreement.
