Resolution 73-14128-A RESOLUTION NO. 73-14128A
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that in order to effectuate the intent of
Resolutions Numbered 73-14058 and 73-14087, passed and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, and Resolution
Numbered R-1025-73 of Dade County, Florida, said Resolutions
Numbered 73-14058 and 73-14087 be and the same are hereby amended
and supplemented so as to provide that in the acquisition of title
to the parcel of land described in said Resolutions , the City of
Miami Beach and Dade County shall each participate equally in the
cost of such acquisition, as follows :
Purchase Price $2 , 250 , 000
Cash payable by the City at time
of closing 400, 000
Cash payable by County of Dade
at time of closing 400, 000
Purchase money mortgage of Miami Beach
First National Bank 1, 525 ,400
(representing $1,450 , 000 balance
required to close and an
estimated $75, 400 representing
estimated closing costs including
title insurance, documentary stamps ,
survey and recording fees)
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver
said purchase money mortgage and note in the said amount of
$1,525 ,400; it being understood and agreed that one-half thereof
be paid by the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and the COUNTY OF DADE,
respectively.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said mortgage and note is
authorized and directed to be additionally secured by the pledge of
presently unencumbered utilities , service, taxes ; franchise and
occupational license taxes for a two-year period commencing
October 1, 1974 and ending October 1, 1976 as additional security
for the payment of said mortgage and note.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver to the said
MIAMI BEACH FIRST NATIONAL BANK and the said COUNTY OF DADE any
and all instruments necessary or proper to execute, affect, and
perfect the intent of this Resolution, and said Resolutions
Numbered 73-14058 and 73-14087 of the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, and said Resolution Numbered R-1025-73 of DADE COUNTY,
FLORIDA.
