WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida has
heretofore designated holidays for the employees of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, as follows, to wit :

New Year ' s Day January 1
Washington ' s Birthday 3rd Monday in February
Memorial Day Last Monday in May
Independence Day July 4
Labor Day 1st Monday in September
Veteran ' s Day 4th Monday in October
Thanksgiving Day 4th Thursday in November
The Friday immediately
following Thanksgiving Day
Christmas December 25
Dr. Martin L. King' s Birthday January 15
or a Floating Holiday (at
the employee ' s option) during
each calendar year
Employee ' s Birthday
Floating Holiday (a day to be
selected by each employee,
subject to his department
head ' s approval, during each
calendar year)

WHEREAS , the City Council has found and determined that one additional
Floating Holiday will be added effective January 1, 1974.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that that portion of Resolution 13429 reading as follows :
