RESOLUTION NO. 73-14140
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
has determined to build a fire station within the site of the
parking area located at 52nd Street and Collins Avenue, further
described as 5301 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS , it is necessary to employ an architect in
connection with the construction of said fire station; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
has determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach and its inhabitants to employ the firm of SEVERUD-
KNIGHT-BOEREMA-BUFF, for a fee not to exceed $24 , 500. 00 for
basic architectural services as described in the proposed
agreement, and for architect ' s additional services as also set
forth in said proposed agreement, a fixed rate of $35. 00 per
hour for SEVERUD-KNIGHT-BOEREMA-BUFF; and
WHEREAS , an agreement has been prepared between the
City of Miami Beach and SEVERUD-KNIGHT-BOEREMA-BUFF, with
compensation as stated above; and
WHEREAS , the City Attorney has approved the agreement
as to form, and the City Manager has recommended that the City
Council enter into the same; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is familiar with the provisions of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the
Acting City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute the said agreement in the name of and on behalf of
the said City, and the disbursing officers of the City are
hereby authorized and directed to disburse the monies required
by the terms of said agreement from funds of the City available
for such purpose.
