Resolution 73-14158 RESOLUTION NO. 73-14158
WHEREAS , Miami-Dade Community College has requested
the use of Flamingo Park for soccer and baseball games covering
a period commencing October 3 , 1973 to April 17, 1974 , on
certain specified dates during said period, which dates are
set forth in the schedule attached hereto and made a part hereof,
and
WHEREAS , the Dade County School Board has advised
the City that the said schedule does not conflict with its
authorized use of the same facility; nor will said schedule
interfere with any City sponsored activity during said period;
and
WHEREAS , a proposed agreement between Miami-Dade _
Community College and the City of Miami Beach has been prepared,
and approved as to form by the City Attorney and which proposed
agreement requires the furnishing of general public liability
insurance; and calls for the reimbursement to the City of costs
of lighting facilities, and for reimbursement to the City for
the expense of supplying necessary personnel during such period,
and
WHEREAS , the City Council is fully advised in the
premises and deems it to be in the bests interests of the City
and its residents .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
SII' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and
the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
execute and deliver the said agreement in the name of and on
behalf of the said City.

AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL OR TECHNICAL SERVICES
THIS AGREEMENT, Entered into as of this 9th day of July
19 73 , by and between the Miami-Dade Community College,_Dept. of Athletics, Downtown Campus
(Dept or Area)
hereinafter referred to as the"AGENCY"and City of Miami Beach, Parks and Recreation Department
hereinafter referred to as the "CONTRACTOR".
WITNESSETH THAT.
The Agency and the Contractor do mutually agree that the Contractor shall furnish the following service to the Agency.
The use of playing fields for soccer and baseball games at Flamingo Park,
Miami Beach. The agency shall provide the contractor with a schedule well in
a_. dvance of specific events, with the understanding that events and schedules of
the cnntrartnr shall take priority. It shall be the responsibility of the agency
to provide the necessary insurance to cover the events and provide_pproof of such
coverage to the. contractor._
The contractor will provide two men for soccer events and one man for baseball
events to prepare the fields and assist the agency in carrying out the event. The
cost for such—services shall not exceed $25 per man, plus the cost of lighting

The Contractor shall commence performance of the agreement on the 3rd day of Oc toper
19 73 ,and shall complete performance to the satisfaction of the Agency no later than on the 1 St day of
May _19 74 .
