A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION OF
PFLUEGER, INC . , FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN
OFF-SHORE FISHING REEF AS THE SAME IS LOCATED
AND DESCRIBED BY MEMORANDUM OF THE UNITED
STATES CORPS OF ENGINEERS DATED SEPTEMBER 17,
1973 .
WHEREAS, AL PFLUEGER, INC. , has duly made application
to the United States Corps of Engineers for the construction of
an artificial reef off shore from the corporate limits of the
City of Miami Beach located as more fully set forth in that
certain public notice dated September 17, 1973, of the United
States Corps of Engineers, and
WHEREAS, said permit was originally issued on
August 12, 1969, and the present application is for an exten-
sion of time within which to complete construction thereof, and
WHEREAS, it has been represented to the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the construction of
said fishing reef will be of great value not only ecologically,
but also for the propagation of game fish, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
interests of the City of Miami Beach that said extension of time
be granted by the United States Corps of Engineers,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it is in favor of,
endorses, and joins in the request of AL PFLUEGER, INC . , that
said permit extending time for the construction of said fishing
reef be granted, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that an authenticated copy of this
resolution be transmitted to the United Stated Corps of Engineers
as evidence of official action of City Council taken hereby.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of October 1973 .
