A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING GRATITUDE
TO METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised that a
breakdown of the City ' s drag-line crane has occurred, and that
repair parts for same would not be available for a prolonged
period of time, and
WHEREAS , the City Council was duly advised that by
reason of the foregoing, it was necessary to enter into an
emergency contract for the rental of an "H-3 hydro crane" for
an additional extended period at a rental rate of $1, 000 per
week, and

WHEREAS , through the efforts and cooperation of
Metropolitan Dade County Manager Ray Goode, said equipment
would be made available to the City of Miami Beach without
charge during the period of saidemergency, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is profoundly gratified at this additional manifestation of
cooperation and good will between Metropolitan Dade County
and. the City of Miami Beach, which spirit of cooperation re-
sults in a substantial financial saving to the citizens and
taxpayers of the City of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that formal recognition by the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach is hereby taken of the afore-
said spirit of good will and cooperation extended to the City of
Miami Beach by Metropolitan Dade County and its Manager, and that
the Metropolitan Dade County Commission and said County Manager
be and they are hereby formally advised of the genuine and lasting
appreciation of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach for
its cooperation and assistance in this matter, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH that it stands ready, willing andable to extend
an equal and similar spirit of cooperation to Metropolitan Dade
County, Florida, and expresses the hope and appreciation that
such mutual assistance in the performance of the respective
functions of each government will continue and endure on a
permanent basis .
