Resolution 73-14180 RESOLUTION NO. 73-14180 WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach has been offered sixteen (16) , five-channel U.H.F. personal portable radios under a Law Enforcement Assistance Administration Act project coordinated by the County Manager of Metropolitan Dade County, Florida, at a total cost not exceeding $3, 200 ; and WHEREAS , Federal Law Enforcement Assistance Act funds will underwrite 75% of the cost of said equipment, and the remaining 25%, which will not exceed $3, 200, is to be paid by the City of Miami Beach; and WHEREAS , said radio equipment is necessary to further improve the City of Miami Beach Police Department emergency radio system; and WHEREAS, funds have been provided in the current budget for said purpose; and WHEREAS , the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach, its residents and employees that said radio equipment be purchased in the manner as herein- above set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be and he is hereby duly authorized to purchase said equipment on the basis hereinabove set forth and that the proper financial officers of the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH be and they are hereby authorized to make the necessary disbursements called for herein. PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of November , 1973 .
