RESOLUTION DECLARING ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN
PARCELS LOCATED IN MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
FOR COMPLETION OF CIVIC-CONVENTION CENTER
COMPLEX LAND PLAN TO BE A PUBLIC
NECESSITY AND AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Real Estate
Consultant, Mr. S . Z. Bennett, have recommended the acquisition
of certain parcels of real property within the City of Miami Beach,
hereinafter described, in fee simple, for completion of the
Civic-Convention Center Complex Land Plan, to wit :
North 50 ' less West 3 ' Lot 1, Block 7A,
and Part of Bridle Path East of North 50 '
Lot 1, AMENDED GOLF COURSE SUBDIVISION,
as recorded in Plat Book 6, page 26 of
the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.,
commonly known as 1931 Meridian Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida; and
Lot 2 less West 3 ' Block 7A and Part of
Bridle Path East of Lot 2, AMENDED PLAT
GOLF COURSE SUBDIVISION, as recorded in
Plat Book 6, page 26 of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida,
commonly known as 1937 Meridian Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
finds and declares that the acquisition of these specific parcels
hereinabove described are necessary, practical and to the best
interests of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for said public
purposes and. uses ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Attorney and
the City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to proceed
and to take all necessary steps for the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, to acquire in the name of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, by donation, purchase, or eminent domain proceedings,
the said lands in fee simple and to prepare in the name of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, all papers, pleadings andother
instruments required for that purpose, and to prosecute all
eminent domain proceedings to judgment .
